            <description><![CDATA[TekCom Resources is seeking OSP Field Inspectors to join our clientâs team and become an integral part of their continued success throughout North Central Idaho. This is a long-term contract to hire opportunity.<br>
&nbsp;<br>
As a OSP Inspector you will be involved in&nbsp;quality control for our clientâs Fiber Build. You will be responsible for complete inspection and acceptance of fiber placement and associated construction activities for the OSP build project ensuring that aerial and underground facilities meet the current standards through inspections, and correction work performed by contractors.&nbsp;The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, cable systems, splicing, testing, termination, cable placement, construction/infrastructure, pole transfers, and make ready tasks.&nbsp;(Travel is required within the market)<br>
<b>Qualifications:</b>
<ul>
&#9;<li>Previous experience inspecting OSP (outside plant construction) and must be proficient in OSP Construction Standards.</li>
&#9;<li>Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code, and previous experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew is preferred.</li>
&#9;<li>Previous experience performing pole ground line inspections.</li>
&#9;<li>Inspecting quality and recording field records âincluding review of OTDR results and As-built drawings.</li>
&#9;<li>Experience with GPS Data Collection.</li>
&#9;<li>Knowledge of As-Builts, redlines and project inspection guidelines.</li>
&#9;<li>Knowledge/Understanding of Fiber and Splicing Maps.</li>

This role will involve Field work, Vendor management as well as Construction Project Management<br>
You must be comfortable with Field site walkouts in addition to managing capital projects, municipal personnel, utility owners, and GCâs and other vendors.<br>
Basically you will be our clients &ldquo;Go to&rdquo;person to make sure the OSP build goes smoothly.<br>
We are looking for someone in the&nbsp;Richmond, Suffolk, and Williamsburg, VA area.<br>

This is a contract positions that will likely go into 2026. You should be local to the local region as you will be required to make regular field visits to help resolve any issues needed.&nbsp;Mileage is paid a Govât rate.<br>

Role:</b>

Our client's project in this area will consist of upgrading HFC and fiber equipment in the Syracuse and surrounding area to increase internet speed to rural and urban areas.&nbsp;<br>

In this role, you will be doing coax splicing, reviewing work prints, making sure field crews know where to go and what to do, troubleshoot when necessary and otherwise be inside a splicing trailer in case needed. The work will cover all of central NY- from Syracuse west to the Lyons, NY area, South to Bingham and East up to the Canada border. Work will start in Binghamton and the crew will travel with the work.&nbsp;Some overnight travel will be required at some point.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>

<b>While not required, experience with HFC construction is HIGHLY valuable for this role!</b>&nbsp;Work will be supporting a major, nationally-active broadband service provider to upgrade their network in rural and urban areas. Work will be done overnight during the maintenance window!&nbsp;<br>
Schedule - Overnight shifts - Mon - Friday, this will bring days off to Sunday/Monday.&nbsp;<br>
