Job Description

Title of the Position:
Project Manager –Site Development- Long haul OSP/ fiber -(ILA/telecom shelter builds/ Installation)

Location: Ideally Seattle or Spokane, Washington
Preferably a contract hire (18 + months), but will consider Direct Hire
Salary range: $100, 000 to $120, 000 DoE.

Role:
The Project Manager will be responsible for executing the design and overseeing the installation of outside and inside components, as well as site work, to complete telecom shelter installations.
This includes taking the project through the permitting process, from land acquisition through to turn-up and testing.
The Project Manager will be involved in all aspects of site development and manage field coordinators who travel to conduct pre-construction and post-construction inspections, ensuring contractors adhere to project plans for site work and shelter installation. Some travel to the markets but most of the work is office based.

Key Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience with building the infrastructure for Fiber Shelters (Long- Haul), wireless tower construction or mobile operator environments, specifically related to setting towers and shelters.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of overseeing the entire lifecycle of telecom shelter installations.
  • Ability to coordinate material deliveries and manage logistical aspects of construction projects.
  • Experience with land acquisition and the permitting process.
  • Ability to manage field resources and ensure adherence to construction standards.

What will catch our eye:
  • Experience in the wireless industry, particularly in the construction portion of the supply chain for wireless towers.
  • A "rock star PM" with a skill set akin to a mobile operator setting towers and shelters.
  • Experience managing projects involving prefab facilities (12x36 shelters) and coordinating utility connections, slab pouring, and generator installation.
  • The ideal candidate for the PM role could come from the Fiber or wireless construction Industry that has coordinated the Civil construction and site development of shelters.

Long haul Fiber Shelter Project Manager (PM):
The PM for the Intermediate Line Amplifier (ILA) project will be involved in Construction Deployment including civil site work, utility coordination, and shelter turn-up and testing.

Successful Execution of ILA Projects: Timely and efficient completion of ILA installations, including site work, utility coordination, and shelter turn-up and testing.
Coordination with Contractors: Ensuring third-party contractors adhere to project plans and address construction issues promptly.
Quality Control (QC) Compliance: Maintaining high standards for the quality of fiber installation and ILA deployment.
Adherence to Project Timelines and Budgets: Meeting deadlines and managing costs effectively for both fiber and ILA projects.
