We are currently recruiting for an OSP/HFC - Construction Manager for our client in the Syracuse, NY area. The ideal candidates will have a background working in the telecommunications industry managing OSP/HFC construction projects. This role will involve both field and office duties, all in support of directing aerial and underground HFC installation projects. Our client's project in this area will consist of upgrading HFC and fiber equipment in the Syracuse area to bring faster internet service to rural and urban areas. The work will consist of aerial and underground OSP work.
Responsible for projects including activities related to above and below-ground fiber installation, hub construction, node construction and related utility make-ready.
Position requires experience with outside plant and inside plant cable construction in aerial and underground facilities
Knowledge of all issues related to local and state permitting, pole and conduit licensing procedures from Utilities
Manage all external vendors necessary for timely completion and within budget.
Order and track delivery of 3rd party materials;
Oversee site construction, managing schedule and subcontractors
Coordinate all construction activities with local and state agencies with regards to permitting and licensing.
OSP experience is an essential requirement for right candidate.
An MVR will be required for onboarding.
Knowledge of Outside Plant Construction - particularly in coax and HFC techniques (aerial & underground)
Working knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards

Prior experience with general contractor supporting major ISP's
Previous experience in OSP Construction - preferably with HFC/Coax managing large projects
