General Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing all processes and pieces relating to the maintenance and distribution of all necessary equipment and fleet at designated warehouse location.
Principal duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee handling and maintenance of receiving, warehousing and distribution operations
Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
Produce reports and statistics regarding all equipment as requested
Lead receiving, inspection, and verification of incoming telecom materials and equipment
Ensure accurate inventory tracking using warehouse management systems (WMS) or spreadsheets
Organize and maintain warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval
Stage and prepare materials for telecom construction crews (fiber, conduit, handholes, hardware, etc.)
Coordinate outbound shipments and deliveries to job sites
Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits
Ensures compliance with health and safety legislation
Overseeing a wide range of warehouse duties for assigned functions or program areas, duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information.
Responsible for zero asset losses.
Ensures all necessary losses, damage and information is communicated timely to meet the expectations of the customer and company.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma
Excellent communication skills
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
