TekCom Resources is seeking a Director of Fiber Operations for a fast-growing, outside plant construction firm in the Harrisburg/York Pennsylvania region! The ideal candidate will have a background in directing all aspects of OSP/Fiber construction projects to ensure schedules, budgets and contractual commitments are being met. You’ll provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to construction personnel and OSP vendors. This is an entrepreneurial, new-build environment that will allow you to create policies, procedures and solutions that make sense to expedite deployment. You must have a strong command of OSP field operations and a proven track record of driving or maintaining profitability within a small‑company environment.
As a regionally focused Director of Operations, we are seeking a candidate that can commute daily in the Harrisburg/York, PA area. This position requires some regional/local travel.
Role:
Forward facing interactions with senior leadership on our side and the customer side.
Overseeing all day-to-day construction and working within SOPs
Overseeing the compilation of invoices and as-builts
P&L responsibility and minimum profitability
Growth and development of managers
Process improvement as necessary
Market growth where possible
Vendor management
Travel between markets as necessary and needed
Proven ability to start and grow individual offices as needed
What we would like to see
At least 10 years of telecommunications industry experience
Prior experience in OSP Operations, standing up an office
Project Management, business operations experience
