Job Title: Construction Manager –FTTH (Fiber to the Home)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee FTTH (Fiber to the Home) projects from initiation through closeout. This role is responsible for managing schedules, vendors, budgets, and client relationships while ensuring all construction activities meet quality, safety, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate brings strong telecom construction experience, particularly in fiber deployment, along with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of assigned FTTH construction projects (UG and some limited Aerial), including planning, scheduling, reporting, and client coordination.

  • Develop and actively manage project schedules to ensure all milestones and deadlines are achieved.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and leading weekly project status meetings.

  • Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and closeout packages.

  • Conduct regular site visits throughout the project lifecycle, including bid walks, pre-construction meetings, active construction inspections, punch walks, and final closeouts.

  • Provide field direction and oversight to general contractors and subcontractors, particularly during ground and fiber installation activities.

  • Identify, assess, and resolve on-site issues proactively, making recommendations that balance project priorities, timelines, and budget constraints.

  • Ensure all construction work complies with client standards, specifications, safety requirements, and established processes.

  • Manage vendor and subcontractor performance, ensuring work quality, adherence to scope, and timely delivery.

  • Review and support accurate, timely entry of subcontractor billing and assist in validating customer invoicing.

  • Ensure all project files are complete, compliant, and properly closed out in accordance with company and client requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in telecom or utility construction management, with a focus on FTTH or fiber deployment preferred

  • Strong knowledge of OSP construction, fiber installation practices, and construction project lifecycle

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, vendors, and deadlines simultaneously

  • Experience working directly with clients and leading project meetings

  • Proficiency in project tracking tools, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
