Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead and manage government projects, ranging from small to large-scale initiatives for a new division within a growing company.
This role will involve overseeing a team of Installers and ensure the successful execution of data center projects. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the efficient installation, configuration and maintenance of data center equipment, as well as troubleshooting and cable management. Responsibilities:
Lead and manage data center projects for government clients, ensuring successful project planning, execution and delivery.
Collaborate with prime contractors as a subcontractor, fostering effective communication and maintaining strong working relationships.
Oversee a team of technicians, providing guidance, mentoring and support to ensure high-quality work and timely project completion.
Coordinate and perform tasks such as equipment racking and stacking, cable running, and troubleshooting as needed.
Ensure compliance with government regulations and security standards, including obtaining and maintaining the necessary security clearances.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
Anticipate and address project-related challenges, risks, and issues, implementing effective mitigation strategies as required.
Train and onboard new team members, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovative solutions and best practices within the team.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in project management, ideally within data center or IT infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of data center operations, equipment installation, cable management, and troubleshooting processes.
Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearances as required for project involvement.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Experience working with prime contractors and subcontractors is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Flexibility to adapt to evolving project requirements and timelines.
Prior experience in government projects or familiarity with government procurement processes is advantageous.
