Job Description
The Utility Specialist will be responsible for coordinating and expediting drawing production for utility projects. This includes pricing and contracting with A&E vendors, quality control of initial drawings, coordinating with carriers, managing changes and revisions, and ensuring construction drawings match accordingly.
The role will also require validating the consistency of drawings against structural analysis and applications, ensuring that drawings and applications match in equipment, quantity, etc. The Utility Coordinator will ensure that CAD site plans used as lease exhibits are accurate and will request, manage, and quality control zoning drawings and other zoning documentation as required.
The role will require evaluating ground space requirements for new colocations and ensuring that CAD site drawings are accurately updated.
The Utility Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the District Manager/Lead Project Manager and customers are aware of issues that will impact project completion or cost. The role will also require participating in internal and external deployment meetings as directed by the Project Manager and interacting with carrier representatives as needed.
Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
Experience in utility or telecom industry preferred
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD
Key Performance Indicators:
Successful completion of projects within specified time frames and budgets
Accuracy and quality of drawings produced
Customer satisfaction ratings
Adherence to company policies and procedures
Reporting Structure: The Utility Coordinator will report to the Project Manager.
Working Conditions: This is a full-time position that requires the Utility Coordinator to work in an office environment. Some travel may be required to meet with vendors or attend deployment meetings.
