Sr. OSP Engineer/Fiber Deployment PM

TekCom Resources is looking for a candidate to help build a $50 million Fiber Network expansion. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating Project Management, OSP Engineering and construction in the Reynolds, GA area. This is a direct hire opportunity and will report to the office if not in the field. Company vehicle is provided with gas card.

This role will be able to have an impact on a family-owned company supporting rural markets in GA for over 100 years. A positive attitude is as important as the skills you bring to the table.

You should have a strong background deploying. Tracking and managing full CATV/Fiber builds and should be very familiar with the aerial permitting process as well as fiber construction tracking, scheduling, and buildouts for market expansions. -Rural Utilities Service (RUS) codes.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Engineer/Fiber Deployment PM to join this team. You will be working on a funded fiber overbuild project located in rural Georgia. The successful candidate will collaborate with in-field engineering and construction Project Managers to ensure project timelines, budgets, materials, and deliverables are met.

In this role you ll:
Track and Manage a $50 million fiber build.
Manage a team of 4 internal engineers as well as multiple vendors.
Collaborate with in-field engineering and construction Project Managers to coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with timelines, budgets, materials, and deliverables.
Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress, and proactively identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and optimizing the use of available resources.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure smooth project execution.
Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress, identify potential risks or obstacles, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Communicate project status updates, challenges, and successes to senior management and stakeholders through reports and presentations.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, providing guidance and support to project team members.


What will catch our eye:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, telecommunication, engineering, or equivalent military experience a plus
3+ years of prior experience in project management and Team Management
3+ years of OSP field engineering experience
3+ years of experience working in fiber construction.
Experience with managing clients and teams
Experience with AutoCAD, MapCom, MicroStation and/or Google Earth KMZ files
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Compensation:
The position offers a competitive hourly rate in the range of $95-110K/hr., commensurate with qualifications and experience.
