TekCom Resources is seeking a Permitting Coordinator for a contract role with one of our largest clients in the Houston area!
In this role, you will support a team (Region, District, Area, or Functional group) with assigned tasks and projects such as tracking project deliverables, monitoring deadlines, providing regular and timely reports highlighting variances as they arise, and other administrative tasks.
You will be working from our client's office in Houston Monday through Thursday, with Friday either worked from the office OR from home - your choice.
Essential Job Functions
Provides support with all aspects of preparing, submitting applications, and securing entitlements as needed for installation of client's facilities in public rights of way, public utility easements, and on private property.
Interface with municipal, county, and state authorities and departments to obtain required approvals for installation.
Updates necessary tracking system(s) to ensure that status updates are maintained with complete accuracy, including third party management systems.
Creates and distributes correspondence relevant to the team, project or program (internal and external).
Develops and maintains accurate and complete files for projects and programs;continues to monitor for integrity and completeness.
Provides ad hoc reports as requested.
Maintain check book compliance, manage check requests and/or online credit card payments.
Issue vendor POs, as needed.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively
Customer focused and results driven
Moderate to advanced Excel, Database agility, and Microsoft Suites. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Education/Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience/Minimum Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years in a general business environment with project coordination and/or administrative support experience.
Related experience with zoning, permitting, or construction documents preferred.

Permitting, zoning, construction, outside plant, OSP, fiber, deployment, telecom, telecommunications, right of way, admin, #Tekcomjobs.
