Job Description
Do you have experience with fiber optics or coax construction, specifically Outside or Inside Plant cabling installation? Are you seeking a long-term home to build your telecommunications career? TekCom Resources is seeking an MDU Wiring Foreman for a direct hire role with a fast-growing telecom construction firm in Janesville, Wisconsin!
In this role, you will be responsible for fiber optics and coax wiring installation within Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs), with possible additional work taking place within large businesses. This is a field-based role involving cabling installation with some crew oversight. Work is being performed in and around the Janesville area, and your work will not take you more than 1.5-2 hours outside of town. While this is a daytime role, some evening or weekend work may be required depending on the specific project. Use of company vehicle is available for this role.
Responsibilites:
- Understanding and ability to install Network Infrastructure Cabling within Multi-Dwelling Units.
- Terminating, installing, and testing both inside and outside plant Network Cabling to include Category 6, Coax, SM/MM Fiber Optics.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints for purpose of installing cabling.
What our client would love to see from candidates:
- 1-3 years of experience assisting on some variety of cabling projects - Outside Plant, Inside Plant, home security, video, etc. MDU cabling experience is extremely valuable.
- Experience assisting with or managing project tracking, financials, both internal and contracted crews, and other functions.
- Experience and comfort communicating with clients and management regarding progress milestones.
