Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an OSP / Fiber Construction Manager for our client in Northwest Missouri. The ideal candidates will have a background working in the telecommunications industry managing OSP construction projects. This role will involve both field and office duties, all in support of directing aerial and underground fiber installation projects.
This role will require visits to sites throughout a territory extending from Greater Kansas City to Columbia. As such, willingness to travel extensively within a small footprint is required!
Duties for this role:
Responsible for projects including activities related to above and below-ground fiber installation, hub construction, node construction and related utility make-ready.
Position requires experience with outside plant and inside plant cable construction in aerial and underground facilities
Knowledge of all issues related to local and state permitting, pole and conduit licensing procedures from Utilities
Manage all external vendors necessary for timely completion and within budget.
Order and track delivery of 3rd party materials;
Oversee site construction, managing schedule and subcontractors
Coordinate all construction activities with local and state agencies with regards to permitting and licensing.
Fiber Splicing experience is an essential requirement for right candidate.
An MVR will be required for onboarding.
Knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground)
Working knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards
