Job Description
TekCom Resources is looking for DAS Technicians for 100% Travel around the Southeast & East Coast. All trave expenses are paid, pre-arranged and booked by the company. Gas card provided and $45/day for meals.
The DAS Technician is experienced in leading installation crews for the entire duration of large-scale distributed antenna systems (DAS) projects. This person is a leader capable of managing, training, and mentoring a crew of 3-5 people while on site. This is a hands-on role that will work closely with the Project Manager and Installation technicians.
Job Duties:
- Install DAS wireless equipment to include but not limited to the installation of outdoor and indoor antennas, coaxial cable, CATV cable, fiber optic cable, CAT 5 cable, DC power cable and other appropriate components to NEC standards
- Fusion Splicing and Fiber OTDR testing
- Install, terminate and test coaxial cable of various sizes and types
- Installation of DAS headend to include DC power plant, alarms, CPS and etc.
- Installation of cabinets, ladder, fiber trough and infrastructure
Background Our Client is Seeking:
- 3+ years of DAS installation experience
- 3+ years of cable installation experience in IT, cable, electrical, RF and/or telecommunications fields
- High level of understanding and experience performing fusion splicing, fiber terminations, fiber dressing, fiber cleaning and OTDR testing
- Expert at completing Sweep, PIM and Fiber testing
- Anritzu, Corning and EXFO Certifications a plus
