Job Description
Are you warehouse and logistics-experienced and looking for a career in the telecommunications industry? TekCom Resources is currently seeking a Telecom Warehouse Clerk to join our fast-growing client in the Tyler, Texas area! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations within our warehouse, where we store and distribute telecom equipment and supplies, primarily related to fiber optics construction.
As a Telecom Warehouse Clerk, your main responsibilities will include receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing telecom equipment and supplies. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, performing regular stock checks, and organizing the warehouse to maximize space utilization. Additionally, you may be required to assist with order fulfillment and shipping tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and store telecom equipment and supplies in an organized manner
Maintain accurate inventory records and update the database as needed
Occasionally make visits into the field to retrieve or deliver equipment as needed
Perform regular stock checks to ensure adequate supplies are available
Organize the warehouse to maximize space utilization and facilitate easy access to items
Collaborate with team members to address any issues or concerns related to warehouse operations
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role preferred
Basic knowledge of telecom equipment and supplies
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems
